As a freelance graphic designer, my role in creating a new packaging system for Otto's Pub and Brewery was all-encompassing, acting as creative director, designer, researcher, and liaison to printers and the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board.  

 

Otto's experienced rapid growth and success after their 2002 establishment in State College, PA. In 2009, this growth generated interest to re-design their existing packaging system.  After many conversations and iterations, multiple designs were mocked up on bottles and shared with Otto's Pub Club members at a special event to get their feedback. The response was overwhelmingly favorable to the designs seen here!

Eleven years after the first creative brief, the packaging system remains in tact and can be found in distributors throughout central Pennsylvania.​
